Receiving a disciplinary grievance on your path to becoming a licensed attorney can feel like a roadblock that jeopardizes your entire career. But with Laura Iosue representing you, it becomes a hurdle you can overcome. Her 30 years of unmatched legal experience in attorney licensing offer you a lifeline during a precarious time. Laura's charisma and genuine advice make the often intimidating grievance process with the Disciplinary Commission more manageable and less isolating. Compassionate and caring, she understands the emotional toll a disciplinary action can have on your life and career aspirations. Laura offers not just legal counsel but also steadfast guidance, ensuring you're fully prepared to address the grievance head-on. With Laura Iosue in your corner, you're not just fighting a disciplinary action—you're preserving the integrity of your future legal career.

When you receive a grievance from the Disciplinary Commission, you must respond within 30 days.

Failure to respond can result not only in a suspension of your license, but can form the basis for disciplinary action, even in the absence of other misconduct. Your response must include supporting documentation if you have it. Remember though, that your response becomes part of the Disciplinary Commission’s investigation against you, and therefore your response must be accurate, and thorough. Drafting your own response can be emotional, and scary. You may simply be too close to the situation to respond effectively, or you may not have familiarity with the Rules of Professional Conduct to prepare a thorough or sufficient response. Having an attorney assist you in your response, particularly one who has investigated such cases and who understands the rules, can not only alleviate your anxiety, but possibly prevent charges from ever being filed, or preserve your license if charges are filed.
